The PDC Premier League is one of the hottest tickets in sport, as arena having been selling out. The PDC Premier League have expanded the field after the huge success of introduction to Rotterdam; the Premier League will return to Holland for the third year running in 2018. The Dutch leg of the Premier League sold out in less than an hour last year, as the darts continues to grow across Europe.
The 3Arena in Dublin will open the 2018 Premier League; the Irish crowd have been one of the loudest in darts over the past few years. The ten PDC stars that will compete in the 2018 Premier League will be greeted by a cauldron of noise, with Dublin being an excellent way to kick off the 2018 campaign. The PDC continues to push the boundaries of the sport, after the rise of the Premier League now being played across four countries. Coupled that with the rise of World Series, the PDC now have darts on the biggest stage across the world. In July the PDC went back to Vegas for the UD Darts Masters, which world number one Michael van Gerwen won. PDC Chairman Barry Hearn deemed the US Darts Masters a great success and that they would be back in 2018. It’s hard to believe that Darts is now being played on the biggest stage across the world, with Hearn’s drive to innovate the sport there are no limits where darts could end up. With the Premier League set to expanded again in 2019, darts is fastly becoming one of the biggest indoor sports in the world.
