The draw for the first round Unibet Melbourne Darts Masters has been completed. After the success of the Auckland Masters last week the PDC seeds have a point to prove, as none of the top eight seeds made it to the final. Durrant Reigns Supreme

BDO world number one Glen Durrant completed a remarkable year, and fulfilled a lifetime dream as he was crowned Lakeside world champion. Durrant was the overwhelming favourite heading into the tournament; the number one seed had been handed a tricky looking first round tie against Nick Kenny. Duzza had to come from a set down, but showed why he had dominated the BDO tour by taking the next three sets unanswered to book his place in round two. Glen was forced to wait for the longest between his first and…

Did The Mistake Matter?

Last night saw one of the most high-profile refereeing mistakes in the PDC, I agree it was a just human error, and that happens but did it have a bigger effect on Group B. Before a dart was thrown Group B had endless permutations. First up Dimitri van den Bergh needed to win his game against Scott Waites, to have any chance of going through which he did winning 5-4. Now the second game in that group saw Robert Thornton play Gerwyn Price. Any Thornton win would see van den…

One of the standout games will be when PDC world number one Michael van Gerwen takes on the three times BDO world champion Martin Adams in Group A. Group B sees the weakest of the PDC seeds in Robert Thornton, in what looks a tough group with Gerwyn Price, Dimitri van den Bergh and BDO world champion Scott Waites. Exclusive Chat With The 1988 World Champion Bob Anderson

I had the pleasure of sitting down with the 1988 World Champion Bob Anderson. Anderson was one of the founding members of the PDC back in 1993. Now happily retired from the professional game, Bob is still involved in the sport he loves on the exhibition circuit as well as keeping a keen eye on the modern game. I had the chance to ask Bob some of your great questions.   Did you prefer playing at Lakeside or the Circus Tavern?   As far as success I won one major…
