MvG Looking For A Hat-Trick

World number one Michael van Gerwen, will be looking to win a hat-trick of European Championships this weekend in Hasselt. The Dutch superstar has been like a runaway train this year, as he has continued his assault on the PDC majors over the last three years. Van Gerwen won his third World Grand Prix title last month in Dublin, before heading off on holiday. The only PDC major that MvG doesn’t hold is the Wolrd Championship; that is currently in the hands of Gary Anderson. I’m sure that van Gerwen would swap every other title he has won this year for another world title.

As we head into the busy part of the year for all the PDC stars, they will be using all the remaining tournaments to fine tune their games, ahead of the Worlds at Ally Pally starting in December. This weekend European Championship will be the start for four majors in 2 months.
