The draw for the 2016 Shanghai Masters has taken place. After winning in Auckland and Dubai World Champion, Gary Anderson will start the pursuit of a hat-trick of World Series titles against Yunfei Jiang. The most eye-catching game of the first round is world number one Michael van Gerwen, against Paul Lim. In 1990 Lim was the first player to achieve a live televised nine-dart finish, at the time Lim received 52.000 which was more than Phil Taylor got for winning the world championship. Adrian Lewis, who was runner-up in Auckland, will play Jianhua Shen as he looks to go one better in Shanghai. Phil Taylor will get his Masters underway with a game against Yuanjun Liu. Taylor will be no stranger to playing Liu after the pair met in the World Cup of Darts, Taylor ran out a 4-0 winner on the night and never looked in any danger.
