Majestic Michael van Gerwen got back to winning ways at the weekend when he beat James Wade 8-3 to win the Shanghai Masters. Van Gerwen was on a run of no win in this last three competitions, which for the Dutchman could be seen as a crisis as he has blown everyone away over the previous three years. Day one of the Shanghai Masters 2016 is now complete, and the top PDC stars all made it through to the quarter-finals. Gary Anderson, Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis only dropped one leg between them.
